In Downrigger Drift, the companions jump to a redoubt in Wisconsin; the lower levels are infested with creatures that are a cross between boar and rat. They largely resemble rats, but have up thrusting tusks and pig-like rear legs. They grow much larger than normal: the smallest ones are about 18 inches long, while the strongest ones are close to six feet long. The rats are organized in a hive run by a gigantic queen, which was about 20 feet tall and 60 feet long.
